Janet Young
Janet Young

Janet Young is the owner of The Natural Pathway, LLC, and is passionate about providing practical information that empowers people to make healthier lifestyle choices. Janet is a natural health and nutrition consultant, educator and writer.
Janet earned a B.S. in Education (Health) from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, and a M.A. in Public Administration (Health) from the University of Illinois at Springfield (formerly Sangamon State University). Currently, Janet is pursuing a Ph.D. in Natural Health from Clayton College of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama.
Prior to changing her career path in 2004, Janet worked extensively in health planning, health administration, and non-profit management in Illinois, Kentucky and California.
In 2007, Janet started her own company, The Natural Pathway, LLC, and has conducted workshops and classes for many organizations, including Bright From the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning; Atlanta Girls’ School; South DeKalb Center for Healthy Living; Bethesda Baptist Church; and A Relationship Ministry, and Gas South. Janet is currently a part-time Instructor of Nutrition at the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts (ASHA) and also provides corporate wellness services for various companies. Janet has also served as a consultant for Soapstone Center for Clinical Research and South DeKalb Center for Healthy Living.
Janet is a co-author of Four Keys to Healthy Living, and has also written a booklet entitled, Tips for the Temple – A Mini-Guide to Healthy Living, and the Nutrition Boot Camp Training Manual. She has also written two articles, Healthy Food Makes The Grade, (Connect Atlanta magazine, Fall 2007), and Healthy Holiday Tips, (Natural Awakenings magazine – Atlanta Edition, December 2008)
Janet, a native of Chicago, Illinois, currently resides in Stone Mountain, GA with her husband, Attorney Jesse L. Young, and is the mother of two daughters, Jehan and Marrenda.
