Anita Bounds embodies the words, nurturing, caring, comforting and compassionate. Not surprisingly, she became a registered nurse shortly out of high school and then went back to school to get her bachelor’s degree in the science of nursing. She realized she had a unique ability to comfort patients in their greatest time of need, blessing so many over a 32 year nursing career.

Anita worked in many hospitals including, St. Luke’s in Jacksonville FL and Carroll County Hospital in MD in the Medical, Surgical and Cardiac departments. She began working with long-term rehabilitative patients at Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute of Rehabilitation with patients recovering from strokes, head injuries, quadriplegics, paraplegics, knee and hip surgery and diabetic foot recovery. She also worked with patients and their families at their home, helping them set up a long-term care system that would be easy for them to follow and provided them with instruction and assistance with post surgical wound care and medication training.

Over the years, she studied alternative healing modalities on her own and became increasingly aware that there was so much more available to help people heal than what was currently offered in the established medical system. At a certain point, Anita decided she had to make a change and went to ASHA School of Massage to become a Massage Therapist.

Through Anita’s long experience inside the established medical community, she has an intimate understanding of the benefits and detriments of our current health system. She recognizes there are times when immediate medical attention is needed, but also realizes that those treatments come with many side effects, toxicities and don’t work well at all with chronic disease.

Anita’s large holistic viewpoint for long-term health brings to focus the necessity for detoxification, many times from the pharmaceutical medications used to treat the condition. She understands that people need to be guided, encouraged and lifted up to a new lifestyle and healthy identity of themselves at the same time that they are treating the symptoms and eliminating toxic elements in their diet, mind and emotions.

Along with Swedish Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage Therapy and detoxification using the IonCleanse, Anita embraced energy muscle techniques as another modality in her healing toolbox. She realized these techniques, particularly the IonCleanse and Arcing Radial Light Energy Work, were discounted in the medical community, but through her own experience and the experiences of others, she found them to be extremely effective. She decided that having something actually work effectively to bring someone back to health and vitality without invasive medical procedures or causing harmful side-effects was her new criteria for what she would do rather than what she was told by others would be the proper treatment.

Throughout Anita’s life her main concern has always been the health and well-being of her patients and clients. Helping others to heal has always been the main theme that has run through her life. It is because of this that she deliberately chose to become an Integrative Health Practitioner rather than stay with the established medical community. Anita has a unique perspective that makes her work incredibly effective. She combines both her vast expertise and experience in the medical community along with her understanding of holistic health. Anita gives people a safe haven and provides them with the understanding and tools they need for their own healing to occur at the same time that she encourages them to accept their greatness. She is a blessing to all that see her.
