Shelley Fondren Fulse

Shelley grew up with a great love for people. She always had an interest in natural health and alternative healing modalities. She studied yoga and worked in a health food store advising customers on their health and suggesting various natural remedies that would help them.  She always knew that her calling was to positively impact people’s health and life.

In 1994 Shelley graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She loved the study of how people interact and communicate with one another.  After university, she worked as a college admissions representative and enjoyed encouraging people and helping them find ways for them to fulfill their dreams.

In 1999, she had an epiphany that she should study massage therapy. This was unusual, because she, nor anyone in her family that she knew of, had ever had a massage. For three years she continued to do what everyone thought she should do with no fulfillment and in 2004 everything, seemingly, fell apart. It was then that she seriously researched massage school and chose to come to ASHA.

While in massage school, Shelley gained a broad and in-depth intellectual understanding of the human body, how to alleviate and eliminate pain, relieve stress and tension and help people regain mobility and body function. She also found that she developed a heightened intuitive ability and often knows exactly what to do and where to work in new and effective ways.  Her clients will often tell her that she just seems to know how to work on them more than anyone else they have seen.

Shelley practices an integrative intuitive massage, incorporating therapeutic Neuromuscular Therapy, Thai assisted stretching, Reiki and breathing techniques. She has success relieving fibromyalgia pain, helping cancer survivors, facilitating the healing of sports injuries as well as a wide variety of structural imbalances. She works out of ASHA Wellness Center and has a private practice.

Shelley recognizes the importance of incorporating massage into a regular wellness regime and works to gain community awareness of the effectiveness of massage for long-term health and well-being. Shelley is also the admissions director at ASHA School of Massage and continues to encourage and assist people to follow their dream.

You can make an appointment with Shelley at ASHA Wellness Center Monday – Thursday.
